Hirini Melbourne is
a distinguished composer and performer and a lecturer in Maori Studies
at Waikato University, and Richard Nunn is a high school teacher
from Nelson. They have been exploring traditional Maori instrumentation
together for seven years as Te Ku Te Whe with their CD of the same
name a groundbreaking work in the contemporary application of traditional
Maori instrumentation. Terry O'Connor is also a well-published
photo-journalist.
