Born in France, Nelia Justo has been actively involved in sound art and performance since 1988. Her works explore the production of electronic and audio sculptural installations. This in practice involves organisation of personal and collaborative exhibitions. Between 1990 - 1996 Nelia was a member of Art Engineering Studios Inc, a group of visual artists and engineers sharing a large machine workshop and individual studios. During this time she exhibited in group many shows including: "Cultural Diversity in the Global Village" the third International Symposium on Electronic Art in Sydney and "Chiang Mai Social Installation" part of the Public Art Festival in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Nelia uses electronic technology as an integral component in her work exploring the physical and poetic possibilities of the medium.
