Nigel Helyer, Australia's
foremost sound artist, has been prominently involved in all SoundCulture
festivals, been included in Perspectas and Sydney Biennales, and has contributed
outstanding sound installations to two SoundWatch festivals. His works
link sound with architectural and environmental sites, and combine performed
soundscapes with public broadcast and new media formats.

Simo Alitalo's sound installations reveal his interest in environmental sounds, both of the biosphere and mediasphere. He works as a radio producer/artist in the Finnish Broadcasting Company's Radioateljee Unit where his work ranges from documentaries and features to more experimental works. He teaches at the Turku School of Sound and Communication, the University of Turku; the University of Lapland and the Radio and Television Institute. |
