Jacki Apple (United States)

Jacki Apple is one of the leading artists to explore sound work and radio art in the United States. She brings with her 20 years of experience in these fields. This has included interdisciplinary performance, multi media installations and numerous audio, radio, video, film and conceptual works. Apples recent soundwork 'You Don't Need a Weatherman' (1997) deals with environmental catastrophes and has approached this by reaching "into the distant past, and the unknown future, spanning geological time, while capturing the immediacy of the human present". Jacki Apples' works have been performed, exhibited and broadcast in art spaces, galleries, museums, theatres, festivals, on public radio and cable TV throughout the United States and Canada, and in Europe, Australia and New Zealand.
